My project “The Distance from the Truth” is about media literacy, how we perceive the information and response to the world. By creating two characters in this performance “Reveal and Cover,” I want to perform the emotions, actions and the roles when people are facing massive information. The importance of media literacy is shown because of the information explosion. When facing massive information from the outside environment, how can we know what is “the truth?” And how can we recognize it when there are people trying to hide it? And eventually, what is the truth? I want to raise the awareness of fake news issues around us and remind people to verify the information every time before believing it. Because the more we know, the more we know we don’t know.
