DESCRIPTION: In this piece I will work with red liquid, movement and my body, in a constant state of awareness of internal and external space and in continuous dialogue with the atmosphere and sensations around me. Dressed in white and slowly turning red, I will become a living monument of the passing of time and its emotional and physical landscapes.
BIO: Sophie Merrison is a performance artist from nowhere interested in participatory, site-specific work exploring communal and spontaneous energy, ritual and repetition as new means of viewing and transforming space and place both physically and ontologically.
